Dear Parents, Alumni, and Friends,

Welcome to the 2010 Comedy & Cuisine celebration! We are so grateful for your presence tonight and your support for St. Cecilia Cathedral School.

The Catholic Schools Week theme this year was Catholic Schools - Dividends for Life. Catholic education is a tremendous financial investment&elips; by our parish, our parents, and our benefactors. But it is an investment that pays huge dividends in faith, knowledge, discipline, and morals. It is an investment in our children. It is an investment in our future. It is an investment in our faith.

This year’s honorees are the first St. Cecilia Parish deacon class. The faith and commitment that they have demonstrated has been a model for not only our students, but for all of our St. Cecilia community. Also being honored are the teachers of St. Cecilia School. These individuals have personally and professionally committed themselves to their students and to the mission of Catholic education. Averaging 22 years of experience, they have dedicated themselves to the formation and nurturing of our St. Cecilia family.

We are grateful to this year’s co-chairs, Mike and Julie Swartz and Michael and Kim Joyce, and all of the many volunteers for their tireless work to make the 2010 Comedy & Cuisine the best yet. We are also grateful to our pastor, Father Michael Gutgsell, for his commitment to sustaining and enriching the Catholic faith through the mission of St. Cecilia Cathedral School.

Yours in Christ,
